In 2013, Artspace Projects (a national, nonprofit organization) spent time in both Richmond and Petersburg helping local leaders assess the potential to develop permanent, new space where artists and the creative community can live, work, rehearse, create and conduct business. The results were positive and the City of Richmond, the Cameron Foundation  the City of Petersburg, Culture Works and Artspace, took the next step toward the creation of one or more multi-use arts facilities, by studying the space needs of artists of all disciplines and arts and cultural organizations and creative businesses.

We value your opinions. Your responses will be critical to the project’s success and decisions about its size, number and types of live/work and other creative support and commercial spaces, design features, special amenities, programs and affordability. The results will help us build support for a project and secure funding to make new space possible.
